OUR RENDERINGS
TIGHT RENDERINGS are the most carefully rendered presentation illustrations
we have. We use any techique that we may have at our disposal to achieve the results we are after.
Lighting is probably the most important element in the success of our renderings whether they be interior or exterior views. Daytime, nighttime, sunset, autumn scenes, snow scenes, rain, etc. are effects that we consider when developing an illustration. Some details, landscape and people, are almost always computer-painted so we can produce a more
compelling illustration that looks more natural and less mechanical.
LOOSE RENDERINGS are a more impressionistic computer illustration style.
In most cases these renderings are less time consuming.
We can also create special lighting effects when working in this style.
SKETCHES are simplified illustrations where we convey the overall character of the project. Line drawing to define shapes and details is used more extensively. The whole drawing is computer-drawn and painted.
BLACK & WHITE drawings are very similar to the traditional pencil
drawings. In some instances these drawings are painted over to create a colored image.
ARCHIVE RENDERINGS are included here to show some of the works in traditional media (watercolor, airbrush, gouache, color pencil, pastel or any combination) done in the past and to point out how anything learned over the years has been incorporated into the computer process.
We don't offer renderings in any of these styles anymore because of the time it takes to produce them, the impossibility to edit or modify them without leaving a mark on the surface we are working on and the cumbersome process of scanning the image to produce prints and/or files for marketing.
